This film is based on true events that took place during the genocidal violence that erupted in Rwanda between the Hutu and Tutsi groups in 1994, when the Hutu military and Interahamwe militias killed roughly 800,000 Tutsis over approximately 100 days. In the face of these unspeakable actions, inspired by his love for his family, an ordinary man summons extraordinary courage to save the lives of over a thousand helpless refugees, by granting them shelter in the hotel he manages.

(2/2) "Rwanda - l'école abandonnée" (1991) <br /><br /><b><u>Note personnelle</u></b> : <br /><br />Ces images (dé)montent l'absurdité des guerres et la souffrance de ces femmes et enfants. <br /><br />Les guerres sont toujours sales et ce sont TOUJOURS les civils qui en paient le prix. <br /><br />Outre ce fait grave, il faut aussi souligner que ce film n'est qu'une manipulation de plus des médias de l'époque...une manipulation qui a mené au pire, au génocide 3 ans plus tard. <br /><br />C'est avec de tels commentaires que les Inkontanyi se faisaient passer pour des barbares et lorsque le génocide a débuté, la communauté internationale continua de soutenir le régime génocidaire défendant le pays des "monstres" venus d'Ouganda! <br /><br />En 1991, "l'agresseur" était certes les inkontanyi mais "l'agressé" ne pouvait exterminer sa population tutsie en représailles! <br /><br />Une armée doit défendre ses territoires ET ses citoyens! <br /><br /><b><u>Liens utiles</u></b> : <br /><br />www.dailymotion.com/LiliTheKing/inkontanyi
