Tanzania, Mwanza, Bugarika: Bednet distribution

Malaria is a significant problem in Tanzania. <br /><br />The Bugarika squatter settlement in the City of Mwanza, on the south east shore of Lake Victoria and with a population of some 12,000 people, has high rates of malaria exacerbated by poverty and a lack of malaria education.<br /><br />6,000 nets will achieve blanket coverage of all sleeping spaces and provide significant protection against malaria. The initial distribution was of 3,500 nets.
