Tanzania ferry toll rising
The number of casualties in the Zanzibar ferry capsize disaster stood at almost 200 on Sunday.<br/> More bodies were found as local fishing boats joined security forces in the search.<br/> The total number of dead is expected to rise as more bodies are found in the wreckage.<br/> The ferry was licensed to carry 600 passengers.<br/> By Saturday evening police said at least 192 bodies had been recovered and more than 600 survivors.<br/> The MV Spice Islander was so overloaded as it left Zanzibar's port that it began to list straight away.<br/> Its Tanzania's worst maritime disaster in 15 years.<br/> The ferry's journey began in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's commercial capital, before taking on more passengers in Zanzibar.<br/> It went down en route to its final destination, Pemba island.<br/> Paul Chapman, Reuters
