Caught in the crossfire in the Democratic Republic of Congo<br/> <br />Government troops head to the front lines in the Democratic Republic of Congo.<br/> <br />There are reports of heavy fire as Congolese forces clash with rebels in the eastern part of the country. Both sides claim to have pushed each other from their positions.<br/> <br />Many civilians have been caught in the crossfire.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (French) DISPLACED PERSON, ROGER ABIBU, SAYING:<br/> <br />"He was sitting at home when the rebels came down from the mountains. And when they started shooting they injured the child. "<br/> <br />A rebellion launched in April has already forced some 260,000 people to flee their homes.
